Sometimes we’re asked to name and/or brand a physical product or company with an easily identifiable function. Sometimes our expertise is needed when there’s a non-physical thing that kind-of-but-not-really directs a bunch of other things that do a ton of things to affect change in a fairly large demographic. Annnd that’s where we met The Road To Better Health.
The Road to Better Health and their network of key stakeholders have tasked us with developing a new brand identity to use in their efforts within Spartanburg County. They looking for a better way to say “the initiative that brings together key stakeholders from across Spartanburg County to combat key issues related to Access to Healthcare, Behavioral Health, Birth Outcomes, Obesity, Tobacco, Adult Oral Health and Health Equity”. See?? We have some work to do.
When asked why the new partnership with SLANT, co-facilitator Page Rogers shared, “The Spartanburg Road to Better Health partners have collectively reviewed and prioritized seven critical health issues. As we mobilize and engage stakeholders to find solutions, we believe that a strong brand is critical to building organizational capacity, galvanizing support, and maintaining focus on identified health priorities. We're eager to work with SLANT as they guide us in centralizing our coalition messaging and visual style for consistency and clarity.”
Christopher Cecil, SLANT Founder/Creative Director, shared, “As a Spartanburg native and someone who’s all about a healthy, work-life-balance, I love that we can use our expertise to help promote this effort. Plus, seeing some of our other clients as key stakeholders – like Partners for Active Living, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, Mary Black Foundation and the City of Spartanburg (hey y’all!) – just gives us that warm-fuzzy feeling. Like a hot, delicious donut. Which are bad for you, so don’t eat too many.”
So, we’re gonna go ahead and get started branding the thing that does the thing with those other things that do all their things. Stay tuned...
